Less is more.

STATEMENT:

The focus of this collection, titled “Music to my ears”, is an ongoing project in which song lyrics, from some of my favorite performers, are translated into a visual form of art. As my outlook on the world shifts with time, so does my taste in music, along with other personal qualities. As the collection continues to grow, the same approach remains; simple, intuitive, and “unfinished” to allow room for growth and interpretation. This project aims to shine light on the idea that differences in our background and life experiences lead to different outlooks. Having an open and honest conversation about our understanding of lyrics initiates thoughtful and deep logic leading the way towards unity. I hope that this collection not only unites us, but also helps us to see order in chaos.
